Present Continuous form
- 歌う 歌って 「う」
- 乗る 乗って 「る」
- 待つ 待って 「つ」
- 聞く 聞いて 「く」
- 急ぐ 急いて 「ぐ」
- 飲む 飲んで 「む」
- 遊ぶ 遊んで 「で」
- 死ぬ 死んで 「ぬ」
- 話す 話して 「す」

Exceptions of て
- 見る → 見て Look
- 寝る → 寝て Sleep
- 起きる → 起きて Wake Up
Irregular verbs
- 来る → 来て Come
- する → して Do
- 行く → 行って Go
〇 てFORM＋いる*
- 食べている。 I am eating.
- 走っている。I am running.
- 歩いている。あるいている。I am walking.
見ている。I was looking.
- 公園で犬と遊んでいる。I am playing with my dog in a park
- お兄さんは宿題をしています。My older brother is doing homework
- お母さんが夕ご飯を作っています。Mom is cooking dinner.

Results of past change ている
〇 てFORM＋いる。。。
行っている doesn’t mean coming, it means someone has gone to a place, and is still there. ― 来ている someone came here and is still here.
- 生きている I am alive
- 寝ています。I am sleeping
- 立っています。I am standing
- 窓が開いています。The Window is Open
- テレビがついている。The TV is On.
- 猫がソファに座っています。 The Cat is sitting on the sofa.

On the first message, it ends with が as inviting the other person, can be translated like, i’m having a BBQ today… (want to come?)

Describing People
○ subject + は + Body Part + が + adj
EX: アンディは頭が大きい。
- 指が短い。「ゆびがみじかい」My fingers are short.
